About the Training: “Partnering with Parents in Child and Play Therapy”

There is no doubt that engaging parents in the therapy process improves outcomes. There is also no doubt that many child and play therapists find working with parents to be the most stressful part of their job. In this three-hour workshop, we will reframe parent behavior through the lens of the nervous system. This reframe will increase clinician compassion and confidence. We will also identify practical and actionable strategies for clinicians to improve their relationship with parents and caregivers to increase engagement and support in the therapy process.
